Preamble
Whereas: Ranked Ballots (also known as Alternative Vote, Ranked Choice, or Instant Runoff Voting) is a voting system where the voter is allowed to select more than one candidate and give their order of preference for each candidate;
Whereas: several federal and provincial parties already use a form of Ranked Ballots for leadership elections;
Whereas: benefits of Ranked Ballots include the elimination of vote splitting, more choice for voters, and winning candidates must appeal to more than their own loyal supporters (encouraging positive conduct during campaigns);

Direction
Be It Resolved That: a Saskatchewan Progress Party government will amend The Election Act to change from Single Member Plurality to Ranked Ballot elections.
