Purpose
To clearly lay out the structure, roles, and conduct of each member of the Advisory Board in their role
of providing counsel to the Executive of the Saskatchewan Progress Party.
Policy
Advisory Board members are non-voting participants. These members are not required to be part of the Saskatchewan Progress Party to participate on the Advisory Board. In accordance with Saskatchewan Progress Party Policy of Conduct, each member of the Advisory Board agrees to uphold the positive ambassadorship of the Saskatchewan Liberal Party for as long as that member is a part of the Advisory Board.
Participating on the Advisory Board is not limited to Saskatchewan Residents.
Advisory Board members need to be approved by majority of the Saskatchewan Progress Party Executive before participating with / officially advising the Saskatchewan Progress Party. This will be done by acceptable voting measure, i.e., online or other standard Executive voting procedures.
Advisory Board members may be removed from their role by the majority vote of the Saskatchewan Progress Party Executive. The acceptable process for removal is the same listed for approval of members to this Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board to the Executive of the Saskatchewan Progress Party is considered a fluid and adaptive Board. There is no minimum or maximum time frame commitment required to be part of the Advisory Board.
As the Advisory Board has no voting privileges within the Executive of the Saskatchewan Progress Party, there is no minimum or maximum number of Advisory Board members required.
Advisory Board members acknowledge that all communication with the media in relation to the Saskatchewan Progress Party must be pre-approved by the Director of Communications for the Saskatchewan Progress Party. In the absence of the Director of Communications, the Executive of the Saskatchewan Progress Party will be in charge of vetting any media communication.
The role of an Advisory Board member is to provide knowledge, wisdom and direction within their area of expertise.
